This project was called 'My Senile Summer '. The project was inspired by my observations I made while living in Denmark for a couple of months for an internship. I was mainly surrounded by my grandma and her friends during my free time. Whilst living there I became curious about the Jante law that looms over danish society and the heavy presence of "herd" mentatilty that infects a majority of Danes of all ages. With this project I draw inspiration from the very uniform way my grandma dressed and the women I lived with as well as how Danes decourated their homes and spaces. Simultanously, I wanted to twist tasteful prints and sillouttes into looks that I felt a Dane would find challenging.
